Happy last day of July! Did you have a fabulous weekend? Ours was relatively low key, but super fun. We went to dinner at a new greek restaurant, I got my hair done (finally!), we went to a birthday/house warming party and I got caught up on some errands and cleaning. It was a nice break in between trips, but now I'm ready to get this week started! Any one else with me?! But let's get back to today's post...the essential items you must pack for a cruise.
It’s Friday and I’m excited to be sharing the details all about the last two stops on our cruise…Messina and Naples. Messina is the capital of the Italian island of Sicily, which is located at the end of the “boot” of Italy. It’s also home to Mount Etna, the world’s second most active volcano in the world. We drove through the city of Messina to the opposite end of the island to get to a quaint little town called Taormina.
Gingham dress: Topshop // Flats: Chloe, This pair for $35 is a budget friendly option that is very similar // Striped hat: This hat is super similar and only $18! Or this hat from Nordstrom is also super cute. // Silver hoop earrings: Lord & Taylor // Silver watch: Kate Spade // Backpack: This is the newer version of my Kate Spade backpack. If you're looking for a more budget friendly option, this striped one is only $30!
Midi dress: Similar ASOS dress, This blue tie front dress or this blush tie front dress are also both super cute! // Espadrilles: Target, These are SO comfortable and also come in a tan color...for $25 I would highly recommend picking them up in both colors because I wear my two pairs ALL the time. // Hat: Not available online, This hat is similar and only $29. // Gold watch: Kate Spade // Initial Necklace: Kate Spade // Sunglasses: Ray Ban
All aboard! Today I’m sharing about what we did in Chania and Valletta, the next two ports we visited on our trip. Chania (pronounced han-e-ya) is located on the island of Crete. It was apparently the cruise line’s first time stopping in the port and unfortunately we were on there for a few hours so we didn’t get to see much. We decided to skip an excursion that day and just head into town to check out the main market and shopping street.
White blouse: Similar blouse for under $27, This button front blouse would be great for the weekend and the office and I love this semi sheer short sleeve blouse. // Skirt: Not available online, but I love this one with embroidered pockets and this tiered ruffle skirt. // Flats: Chloe, This Sam & Libby pair is a similar budget friend option. // Hat: Sold out, but this BP. hat is almost identical and only $29! // Backpack: Similar black and white striped backpack and a more budget friendly navy striped backpack for $30!
Happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend. If you were following along on Instastory or Facebook, you saw that I was in Columbus, Ohio for the weekend. I've got a travel guide planned for you that I'll be sharing, but we visited a darling little tea shop, grabbed ice cream at a local creamery, did a little window shopping and of course did lots of catching up over wine and food. It was a lovely weekend and I am thankful for the opportunity to have a girl's weekend.
Shirt dress: Not available, This shirt dress from ASOS is similar and under $50. I love this tie front shirt dress and this one with a flared skirt. // Flats: Chloe, This is a great more budget friendly pair is only $35. // Hat: Sold out, but this black and white striped hat ($18) or this striped one ($22) are similar. I also love this floppy hat and this fedora style hat. // Neck scarf: This scarf is similar and you can never go wrong with a classic style bandana scarf. // Sunglasses: Ray Ban // Backpack: Not available anymore, but this is a similar Kate Spade backpack. This backpack is slightly smaller and this striped one won't break the bank. // Knot earrings: DSW
I don't know if it was the movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants or Instagram, but I'm pretty sure one of those things skyrocketed Greece to the top of everyone's travel bucket list. I'll admit that I was one of those people that put Greece on my list after seeing the movie because it looked liked too picture perfect to be true and I wanted to see it for myself. And let me just say that the pictures don't do it justice because it's ten times more breathtaking in person.
Striped bell sleeve top: Madewell top is sold out, but this striped one and this one with ruffle detail are similar. And how fun is this embroidered one?! // Lace shorts: Similar pair and this pair is under $50. // Sandals: Target, These are under $20 and so so comfortable! They also come in black glitter. This is an identical pair just without the glitter detail. // Hat: Nordstrom, but it's not available online. This floppy hat and this boater hat are similar and both are under $30! // Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Off the shoulder gingham dress: ASOS, This dress is a steal at $26.50! This almost identical gingham dress comes in 3 different colors and also petite sizes. This H&M gingham dress has a longer sleeve and this dress would be great for transitioning to fall and is only $22! // Scallop flats: Chloe, These are my favorite pair of shoes and fit like a glove! For a more budget friendly option, this pair is very similar. // Straw hat: This similar black and white stripe hat is under $18. I love this chic white hat with black ribbon and this fedora style hat. // Silver hoop earrings: Lord & Taylor, This pair is slightly smaller and under $20!
