Hoppy Wednesday! I hope everyone is excited about their short weekend and getting ready for the celebration this weekend. My Easter preparations are well under way and I hope yours are as well. I've picked up my Easter candy, decided on brunch food and have attempted to finalize what I'm wearing. The last thing on my list is the Easter baskets.
I may be going rouge...or is it rogue... (read more about that here), but this Easter I've decided to wear flamingos. I'm sure you think I'm crazy for talking about and wearing flamingos now since this time of year is all about bunnies and chicks. But I mean flamingos are pink and pink is a perfect color for Easter so I think it totally works. Besides when you find something you love, why shouldn't you wear it when you feel like it?
Flamingo dress: Chicwish, Absolutely love this flamingo midi skirt and this tshirt // Nude wedge: CL by Laundry, Also love this wedge sandal with a bow // Black clutch: Nordstrom, This straw clutch would also be super cute with it for a more casual look // Bow bangle: Old, But I love this plain silver bangle or this rose gold bow one // Lipcolor: Fresh Sugar lip treatment in 'Tulip'
Goodness! I can't believe that Easter will be here in less than a week. So get ready for all kinds of Easter fun this week. I'll be sharing ideas for Easter basket goodies, outfit ideas and a delicious cocktail you don't want to miss! Today I'm kicking off the Easter celebrations with some of my favorite brunch foods.
Cream blouse: Old, Love this Express blouse and this hi-low top both under $30 // Polka dot skirt: Love this similar one, this pencil skirt and this midi skirt for $25 // Blush scallop pump: DSW, I also love this scallop flat and this D'Orsay pump // Pink glitter wallet: Kate Spade, This floral one is also super fun and I love this metallic one // Necklace: No longer available, This Kate Spade 'Mrs' necklace is so cute and so is this 'happy' necklace // Gold bangle: Kate Spade // Lip color: Fresh Sugar lip treatment in 'Tulip'
Oh goodness, how is it already Friday?! Being gone last weekend, having a super busy week and getting ready to leave town again has made it fly by. We're headed to the great outdoors for a couples retreat this weekend with our Sunday school class. Fingers crossed I can make it through since I'm not an outdoors person... It actually comes at a perfect time because we'll be celebrating our 6 month anniversary! So we'll be able to get away, relax and hopefully recharge for Easter next weekend.

If I had my choice I would wear skirts and dresses every day. I wear jeans and other pants quite often, but it's only because it's so cold inside places that it's a necessity. For me, skirts and dresses make getting dressed so much easier. You can style them for work, for play, for errands and everything in between. They're the most fun to style because you can create so many different outfits.
