I love getting to go to the theater. Evan surprised me with tickets to see Around the World in 80 Days, which is such a classic. I remember watching the movie when I was growing up and was excited to see it again at the theater. It was a beautiful day and since we got there a little early we decided to take in the views of the city from one of the outside patios.
Happy first day of April! I’m so excited for a new month and all that I have planned for the blog. I have always loved reading, but since reading for school wasn’t exactly fun I sort of got out of it. But now I’m really trying to get back into it. So today I’m giving you a book review on my latest read.
I hope everyone’s excited because not only are we half way through the week, but I have a new video for you so that should make you even more excited! What’s almost as important as the clothes on the runway are the beauty trends that are also making their debut.
I’ve actually been in the kitchen a lot more this month, thanks to Easter and all the spring recipes on Pinterest that have newly inspired me. I know that spring recipes usually include a lot of salads or veggies, but when I found this Tuscan inspired quinoa bake from Half Baked Harvest (check out more here) I knew I needed to give it a try.
Books turned into movies or tv shows is one thing. Books turned into a ballet is something that I didn’t think to do. The thing about the Houston Ballet is that there’s an interesting mix of “shows” (one with a story line like Sleeping Beauty or Romeo & Juliet) and repertoires which are dance performances left open to your interpretation. With repertoires, you never know what you are in store for.
