This week is full of celebrations. It’s Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day(here are some great gift ideas for mom)…I hope everyone’s super excited! Cinco de Mayo may be a mostly Southern thing, but even if you’re not in Texas you can still celebrate because I think guacamole and margaritas are always a good idea. Fun trivia fact: Cinco de Mayo is an American holiday and not really celebrated in Mexico. But that’s neither here nor there, so let’s get to what you need to wear.
I can’t wait to fill my house with lots of May flowers, which by the way are a perfect backdrop for a Mother’s Day brunch. In case you didn’t realize it, Mother’s Day is Sunday…so you’ll need to make sure that you buy your mom a card and gift. But if you’re struggling to figure out what to get her, I’m here to help. Today I’m sharing some of my gift ideas for Mother’s Day.
I love getting my hair done. I’ve been seeing Caroline at Studio 3 for quite a few years now and she always does an awesome job! Even when I don’t make drastic changes, I always feel like a new woman leaving the salon. And bonus, it’s a forced break for me since I’m in a chair and can’t run around and do things.
There doesn’t always need to be a reason to give someone a present. Sometimes the best ones are the “just because” ones. It’s an opportunity to say thank you for being you and for being part of my life. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite little gifts under $25.
I usually make breakfast which consists of egg whites, fruit or yogurt and sometimes organic breakfast sausage. Evan usually makes dinner which is a protein, vegetable and occasionally quinoa or pasta. Sometimes I can get him to go a little crazy and serve TWO vegetables! I know, crazy right?! But the snacks I eat are sometimes not the best things for me.
